New Document

A New TexLab Document has all files necessary to create a PDF file for a specific purpose. New DocumentNew Document is used to show the startup templates that you can use to create a new document. After creating the New Document, you will be prompt to choose a suitable location to store the project. At this point, you may start editing the document by adding, removing or editing nodes in the document. Please select the appropriate language when creating a New Document because it CANNOT be changed later.

Tip
Never use symbols or characters with accents on the name or the location of your project. Some LaTeX commands do not work when the project location or the project name have special characters or accents. Use Xelatex.exe, if you want to use special characters or accents in the location or the name of your project (use the MiKTeX Setup button in the toolbar to change TexLab settings).
Nunca use símbolos o caracteres con acentos en el nombre o la ubicación de su proyecto. Inserting and Editing a Node

You may click on InsertInsert to add a new node to the document. You can double click any node to edit the node. You may use the left panel in the bottom of the main window to edit the content of the node. Observe that you can click the TextText to insert any custom node that you need to insert in the document.
Usted puede hacer clic enInsertInsert para agregar un nuevo nodo en el documento. Usted puede hacer doble clic en cualquier nodo para editarlo. Shortcuts to Insert

When you click on InsertInsert the Insert dialog opens; the column on the right lists the shortcuts that can be used to insert a specific item without opening the Insert dialog. Shortcuts can be used to speed up the insertion of nodes in your document.

Tip
TexLab will try to update the PDF view while you are typing the text. To generate the PDF file of your document, you can click on Create PDF DocumentCreate PDF Document from the toolbar.
